Birzeit University Museum, the Spanish Representative Office, and CAP organised the exhibition " On a Journey: Spanish Architecture in the Arab World”, from 18 May through 17 June at the museum. The exhibition showcased photographs of buildings designed by Spanish architects across the Arab region, thus highlighting the strong bonds between Arab and Spanish cultures and the long history of cooperation between the Arab World and Spain. The exhibition featured AMQF’s new Cultural Centre and Palestine Office building which was designed by Donaire Arquitectos from Seville, Spain.
The Spanish Consul-General, Juan Jose Escobar, and Birzeit University President, Khalil Hindi, participated in the opening ceremony, and a large number of visitors and students, especially from the university’s Department of Architecture, attended the event. The exhibition was made possible thanks to the joint efforts of Casa Árabe and the Higher Council of Architects in Spain.
