On 13 August, QCC organised an astronomy session for children under the initiative ‘The Wondrous Planet’, in cooperation with the ‘UNESCO Chair for Astronomy, Astrophysics and Space Sciences Youth’. The session aimed to introduce children to the Perseid meteor shower phenomenon by screening films about meteors and engaging children in discussions about the subject. Children also learned about meteor shapes and colours, as well as the methods of monitoring sunspots from different angels.
