On April 24, the Foundation hosted a cultural delegation from Toulouse Municipality, the cultural capital of the southwest region of France. The delegation was headed by Vincentella de Comarmond, Deputy Mayor for Culture. The delegation was received by Ziad Khalaf, Executive Director of the Foundation, Mahmoud Abu Hashhash, Director of the Culture and Arts Programme, and Nida Disi Tawil, Director of Communications and Resource Development. The two parties discussed cooperation in the areas of cinema and modern dance. George Khleifi, Consultant to the Culture and the Arts Programme's Audio-Visual Unit, gave a presentation on the Foundation's work in cinema through the Production Support Project. The project received considerable interest from Jean-Louis Dufour, Director of the Superior School of Audiovisual (ESAV) at the University of Toulouse II, who was shown the lighting and grip equipment recently acquired by the Foundation to support film production in Palestine. The two parties discussed many possible modes of cooperation including dispatching students from the ESAV to Palestine to work with the Foundation on training artists in production and post-production stages, as well as including films produced under the Production Support Project in the annual audio visual festival in Toulouse, known as La Corrida Audiovisuelle.
