Donaire Arquitectos of Seville, Spain, was selected to design the Foundation’s new Cultural Centre and Palestine Office. As one of the final phases of the architectural competition run by the Foundation, design proposals from four participating international architecture offices were displayed in a public exhibition at Birzeit University from 15 to 17 October. Submissions were then adjudicated on 18 October by a five-member jury comprising international architectural design and research experts as well as members of the Foundation and its Board of Trustees. The new building will be located on a site of almost 6,000m² in Al-Tireh neighborhood in Ramallah, and will accommodate the organisation’s growing administrative and operational needs. Read more.
