On April 21, the Mobile Library headed to Shajaret Ad-Dur Elementary School in the Bani Suhaila region, in Khan Younis in southern Gaza Strip, therefore marking the launching of the Mobile Library Project. The Project is implemented by the Qattan Centre for the Child (QCC), in partnership with the Bank of Palestine, and seeks to broaden the cultural, artistic and creative horizons of children by fostering reading, self-education and art appreciation among children in marginalised areas, and providing an interactive educational environment to help them grow.
The Project targets preschoolers as well as elementary and preparatory schoolchildren. It conducts its activities in partnership with local NGOs working in the field of childhood, schools, kindergartens and public venues, and ensures equitable presence in the different governorates of the Gaza Strip.
