The Deep Seas and their mysteries were the theme of a whole host of activities in November. In December, the focus turned to the theme of family culture. A number of programmes aimed to explore ways of developing children's skills with support from their families, especially outside the scope of the Centre. My Child the Creator helped parents understand their children through the latter's paintings; Popular Games and Marionettes' Tales also brought parents and their children together to introduce them to a number of activities which they can implement as a family at home. Throughout the two months, QCC continued to offer a range of IT activities , from introductory courses to more advanced guidance on using the computer to support curricular work through computer games. There were also several activities which focussed on improving parents' understanding of the computer and the possibilities it offers. Earth Colours , an exhibition of work by Gaza artist Abdallah Ruzzi , co-organised with the Culture and Arts Programme, proved hugely successful both with Centre members and the general public. Finally, the Extended Services Programme organised four mobile book fairs in four schools around Gaza city, benefiting 2,900 children, and another eight school and kindergarten libraries in other counties to which 1,230 books were lent out.
