Ziad Khalaf, Executive Director of the Foundation, participated in the UNRWA-organised international conference "Engaging Youth: Palestine Refugees in a Changing Middle East" held in Brussels on March 19-20. Organised in partnership with the European Union and the Belgian Government, the conference focused on social integration and political empowerment of youth in the Arab world in the wake of the Arab revolutions and the Palestinian situation, with special focus on Palestinian refugees in UNRWA’s areas of operation. At the end of his trip, Khalaf visited the headquarters of the Royal Flemish Theatre (KVS), the Foundation's strategic partner in the area of performing arts development in Palestine, particularly through the Performing Arts Summer School (PASS). Khalaf attended a rehearsal of the play "Keffiyeh: Made in China", which is the first co-production between the Foundation and KVS since the inception of PASS in 2007.
