The A. M. Qattan Foundation, in partnership with the French Consulate General in Jerusalem, ARTE, and the Goethe Institute, has launched the Ramallah Pitching Commission for Documentary Projects “Ramallah Doc” competition.
Ramallah Doc is an opportunity for Palestinian documentary filmmakers to pitch their project ideas to a forum of international film producers and TV representatives.
25 applications were submitted by Palestinian directors and producers to Ramallah Doc, with 13 successful applicants chosen by a panel of representatives from the four partner organisations. The filmmakers will go on to attend nine weeks of professional seminars and workshops that focus on developing original ideas, filming techniques, making and editing trailers, and preparing them for the final pitching sessions to be held in May.
Two projects will be selected by the panel in May, to be awarded €2,000 towards realising their projects.
