At the initiative of British playwright David Craig, and in partnership with the British Council in Ramallah and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the Foundation received applications for performances to take part in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, during which August 23 will be a day dedicated to Palestine. The Festival will host a number of Palestinian artists who will participate through on-the-spot solo shows, or live video stream, in case they were unable to travel.
Seven shows were selected from various disciplines: storytelling, theatre, contemporary dance, stand-up comedy, poetry and music. The participating artists are from Kafr Nima, Ramallah, Haifa, Jerusalem, Jenin and Bethlehem.
The Edinburgh Festival Fringe is an annual event which provides an open space for creative, free expression for artists of all backgrounds.
