A number of study days around different themes were held during the period. In June, a study day on “Education in Palestine: Manufacturing Peace or Cultural Resistance?” was run. Papers were presented by Dr. Fouad Moghrabi (QCERD), Dr. Jacqueline Sfeir (Bethlehem University), Dr. Gabi Baramki and Dr. Islah Jad (Birzeit University); researchers Malek Rimawi and Omar Barghouti and Dr. Rana Nashashibi and Dr. Fatma Al-Qassem. Themes included: How the Oppressed learn their Histories and “Education, Emancipation and Confronting Normalisation”. Proceedings will be published in the next issue of Ru'a Tarbawiyya, the Centre's education quarterly.
In Hebron, a study day comparing practical teaching experiments was also held on 16 May with teachers from Teachers' Forums based in Halhoul, Dura, Al-Thahriyya and Ithna. At the Centre in Gaza City, a similar study day was held on 13 May, with more than 108 teachers, school administrators and supervisors participating.
