Between 25 January and 5 February, the third and last lab of the first phase of One Space Project was held in Lisbon, Portugal. The project is organised by the Royal Flemish Theatre KVC (Belgium), Alkantara (Portugal), and Exodus (Slovenia) in cooperation with the AMQF (Palestine).

One Space Project is designed to promote cooperation between partner institutions and create performance arts among artists in Europe, Arab region and Africa. Lebanese architect Tony Chakar and Congolese dancer Faustin Linyekula supervised the Third Lab. The project featured the participation of 14 artists from Palestine, Slovenia, South Africa, Burkina Faso, Congo, Croatia, Syria, Senegal, and Portugal.

In this Third Lab, participants were introduced to symbols and uses in artistic works. They were also provided by support and guidance for their project proposals in preparation for the next phase of the project. The group will develop proposals for artistic projects and works. These will be presented to a committee at Durban city in South Africa next March. The committee will select three winning performances to be supported and produced towards the end of 2016. These will be performed at European and world theatres throughout 2017.
