A delegation from the Centre and teachers from Palestine visited the UK between the 18 - 27 of June as part of the second phase of the ‘Exchange of Experiences’ programme. Together with six British teachers, the delegation implemented in a number of British schools some educational techniques from the dramatic-inquiry based approach to teaching and learning known as ‘Mantle of the Expert’. This took place under the supervision and coordination of Luke Abbott, an expert in this technique, and the Centre’s senior researcher, Nader Wahbeh.
The programme of the visit included an intensive training course on how drama and the "Mantle of the Expert’ approach may be applied in the classroom; a study day on the technique and its applications with children with UK-based Professor Dorothy Heathcote, founder of the approach. Evaluation sessions and group meetings aimed at exchanging experiences were also held.
