Ramallah – (A.M. Qattan Foundation):
On Saturday, September 7, 2019, Leila Miqdadi al-Qattan Foundation organized a creative writing workshop led by storyteller Ahmad Jaber and attended by a group of ninth and eleventh grade students from Nour al-Huda Girls School.
During the workshop, Jaber discussed different methods of creative writing, how to enhance the writing, and the essential role of reading to advance writing skills.
Participants wrote a story as a part of a group exercise, in addition to doing individual exercises that focused on creative writing and the development of style.
Ahmed Jaber is a recipient of the Young Writer of the Year Award 2018 (YWYA) for his collection “Mr. Blue in Cinema”. YWYA is organised by the Culture and Arts Programme (CAP) at the A.M. Qattan Foundation.
