Ramallah – A.M. Qattan Foundation

On Sunday 3rd November, 2019, A.M. Qattan Foundation concluded an open day of cultural and artistic activities entitled ‘Artistic Stance’ to raise funds for the Augusta Victoria (Al-Mutlaa) Hospital and cancer patients, in light of the difficult financial situation the hospital is facing. The donations amounted to $33,036, which will be delivered directly to the hospital.

This initiative came in response to the community initiative which aims to support and establish the hospital as a long-established Jerusalem institution that provides basic medical services to the Palestinian people.

AMQF has launched an appeal inviting artists, institutions and artistic groups to participate in this day. The invitation received a great response from artists, artistic groups and institutions working in the cultural field. The campaign also witnessed a huge public presence and a strong demand for donation to the hospital.

Fida Touma, Director General of the Foundation, said: “The A.M. Qattan Foundation thanks the artists, bands and institutions who participated through their performances and initiatives on a voluntary basis to ensure the success of the campaign. We also thank the public for their generous donations to the hospital, an expression of great social solidarity and unanimity that reflects a deep sense of responsibility.”
