In early June, the Qattan Centre for the Child’s library launched its summer season activities programme under the slogan "Droplet…Water is Life", which included a variety of water-related activities as well as educational and recreational picnics for children. One of the most significant activities was the "silent reading" initiative, during which all of the Centre’s visitors read silently at the same time twice per day. Meanwhile, a range of clubs as well as literary and cultural programmes were launched, including the reading club, the house of tales club, the box of tales club, and the house of literature. A course entitled "My Doll" was also featured to teach youngsters how to make and present their own toys.
