Within the framework of its Outreach Service Programme, the Centre launched the “Create - Ibda’a: Mobile Library for Children" project, funded by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation. The project, which targets children aged 4-15 years and lasts 30 months, will be implemented in coordination with schools and community organisations working with children. It will target marginalised areas in Gaza governorates and will serve approximately 20,000 male and female children. The project aims to contribute to expanding children’s cultural, artistic and creative horizons through the implementation of a range of cultural and recreational activities which help promote their love of reading and appreciation of arts. The project includes activities such as a book fair for reading, storytelling, drama and story, Palestinian popular games, drawing and crafts, cultural competitions, open microphone, artistic and entertainment performances, in addition to providing book lending services to benefiting institutions.
