A selection of work by winners and finalists in the 2010 A. M. Qattan Foundation’s Young Artist of the Year Award was showcased in London for the first time at The Mosaic Rooms. Curated by Nicola Grey, the exhibition was divided into two parts to showcase the work of seven of the finalists, including the first, second and third award winners. Ayed Arafah, the third award winner, was on an exchange at the University of Brighton and came up to London to the Mosaic Rooms to give an artist’s talk about his work and experiences. The exhibition was featured in an online gallery by BBC World, and by the London cultural magazine “Lime”as the exhibition of the month.
