On 4 January, the Foundation signed a $125,000 agreement with the Welfare Association in support of a 12-month “Animation in Education” project. The project is a training programme for teachers and students focusing on producing short animated films for educational purposes using play-dough and cardboard. This project is important in view of the role of the arts in education, essential for creating a balanced learning process that combines technical knowledge and theory on one hand, with the development of imaginative, emotional and social skills on the other.
