The group of teachers currently participating in the Research Seminar are receiving training in how to collect data for future analysis, and it is expected that at the end of the two year project, they will write a paper or a series of separate papers on the practical application of drama in education.
Each teacher has identified the topic that they wish to investigate, ranging from the impact of drama on personality, wider society, language and on the curriculum. The group has already started to use applied research methods in the classroom and to analyse the results.
The group communicates via meetings, email and Skype. There is also a page on their wiki where group members can share significant findings and relevant materials including lesson plans, evaluations by Professor Davis, articles on drama in education, and films of applied research being conducted in the classroom.
