On July 14 and 15, the QCERD organised a workshop on the role of playing and zones of proximal development (Vygotsky) in early childhood education. The workshop was presented to early childhood teachers as part of the “Science and Early Childhood” programme led by Nader Wahbeh and Malik Rimawi, senior researchers at the centre. The workshop focused on the importance of drawing and play in understanding childhood learning, and alsointroduced new ways of planning and assessment.
