Speech & the Liberation of Meaning - Textual & Dramatic Approaches to the Play The Elephant, O King of All Time

QCERD has recently released the book Speech & The Liberation of Meaning Textual & Dramatic Approaches to the Play The Elephant, O' King of All Time by Wasim Kurdi. The book includes a reading of the Saadallah Wannous play, which is included in the fifth unit of the Arabic Language textbook for the twelfth grade in the Palestinian curriculum. In the book, it also suggests approaching it with the utilization of drama as a context of exploration and expression. The publication targets Arabic language teachers in higher primary levels, including teachers of the twelfth grade and teachers of other subjects, especially teachers of social sciences, contemporary studies and drama. A meeting will therefore be organized to discuss the book with the teachers in addition to distributing it to the teachers who partake in the drama and expression workshops that take place at the Centre.
