On 1 December the Centre launched its third annual project for ‘Strengthening Communication with Parents of Primary School Students', funded by the Norwegian Refugee Council. The project is directed at three primary schools, and strives to strengthen the role of parents as the first teacher of their children, and to encourage them to communicate with their children’s schools. The initiative includes training for a group of teachers on the subject of family literacy, as well as establishing two family groups at each of the three schools. Each group will be comprised of thirty families, and activities will include seminars for parents and joint workshops and activities for parents and children together.
