The Centre concluded its My Country’s Monuments programme with a special activity to mark World Heritage Day on 18 April. The activity was designed to teach children about the importance of preserving their Palestinian heritage and culture.
The programme was held between 21 February – 18 May, in cooperation with the Architectural Heritage Centre (IWAN), a subsidiary of the Engineering Faculty at the Islamic University in Gaza. The programme targeted 25 children, aged 12, with the aim of educating them about their cultural heritage, historical places and antiquities, and how to preserve them. Children participated in arts and cultural activities as well as using drama techniques such as the Mantle of the Expert approach, and painting and arts.
