The 7th MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition in partnership with Gaza Sky Geeks, SADAF Technology Development, and Palestine Information and Communications Technology Incubator (PICTI), was launched on 28 October at the Qattan Centre for the Child.
The competition, which ran across 20 Arab cities, aims at developing and nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship across the Arab region through building a platform for networking, knowledge-sharing, showcasing, coaching and mentorship for entrepreneurs.
The MIT Enterprise Forum Pan-Arab, established in 2005, is one of 28 worldwide chapters of the overarching MIT Enterprise Forum Global Office. The Forum works towards promoting MIT-style entrepreneurship by organising annually the MIT Enterprise Forum Arab Startup Competition, in partnership with Abdul Latif Jameel Community Initiatives, targeting 21 countries of the Arab region and attracting more than 4,000 applications a year.
