On 10 April, QCERD concluded its Filmmaking Project, part of the Cinema in Education Programme, with a two-day workshop for a group of Palestinian teachers.
During the workshop, led by director Laila Abbas, participants screened the films they produced, reviewed how they benefited from the project as a whole, and how they intended to apply their new experience in film production, screening and analysis with their students.
The Project consisted of nine workshops divided into three stages; the first stage focused on the theory of cinema, while the second involved sessions on cinematography and developing ideas into screenplays. During the time separating the two stages, participants shot films of their own in groups, which they later edited and screened.
