In February, a new tour of dance production Badke was organised in the USA, Canada and Belgium. Badke dancers performed in New York between 11-13 February, and in Toronto, Canada, between 17-20 February. The performance tour is scheduled towards the end of May 2016 in France, Belgium, Germany and Austria.
Badke is an artistic collaboration between Koninklijke Vlaamse Schouwburg [Royal Flemish Theater - KVS] (Brussels), Les Ballets C de la B (Ghent) and AMQF. It is performed by ten Palestinian performers from various dancing backgrounds, including contemporary dance, capoeira, break dance, dabke, and circus. Badke is the output of the eighth round of the Performing Arts Summer School (PASS) run by the AMQF in Summer 2012.
