Dr. Yazid Anani has recently joined the AMQF team as Director of the Public Programme, which will utilise the new building facilities and will have an outreach component.
Anani has a Ph.D. in urban planning and design from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany. Anani worked as an assistant professor at the Architecture Department at Birzeit University. He chaired the Academic Council of the International Art Academy Palestine 2010 - 2012. He is part of several collectives and projects such as ‘Ramallah Syndrome’ and ‘Decolonizing Architecture’. He curated and co-curated several projects such as Palestinian Cities – Visual Contention and Ramallah – the fairest of them all?’. Anani took part in several art projects and published on architectural design, art education and public spaces.
