CAP supported two performances of Taha, a monodrama on the life of renowned poet Taha Mohammed Ali. Held at the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Centre on 19 May, the event brought together an audience of around 150 spectators. The monodrama was produced with support from the Qattan Fund for Performing Arts 2013. Performed by Actor Amer Hlehel, the play is directed by Salim Daw. This was the first time Taha premiered in the West Bank. Over the past two years, the play was staged in cities and villages inside the Green Line. CAP also supported the first edition of the Nablus Festival for Culture and Arts. Organised by Project Hope Foundation between 24 April and 2 May, the festival was held at key historical sites in Nablus aiming to bring the city’s heritage and history back to life. In participation with European and local bands, the festival featured theatrical performances, songs, films, and literary events.

The Programme also supported the organisation of the Red Carpet Film Festival of Director Khalil al-Mozayen in Gaza city. The first of its kind in Gaza, the festival was inaugurated on 12 March 2016 and lasted for five days. It featured short and long documentary and feature films, which highlighted human rights issues in the world in general, and in Palestine in particular. In addition to short and animation films, 12 feature films and 17 documentaries were screened in the festival.
