On Wednesday April 24th, The Culture and Arts programme in the A.M. Qattan Foundation in collaboration with the Mahmoud Darwish Musem, organised the launch of the novel "Cliche and Dystopia" written by Hakim Basem Khater and directed by the journalistic writer Nedaa Owaina.
The novel received a recommendation for publication by the judge's committee of the Young Writer Contest 2017, which is organised by the culture and arts programme of the A.M. Qattan Foundation since 2000. The competition provides a first prize in the fields of novels, poetry, and short stories in addition to the publication of winning literary works and works recommded by the judge's committee.
Hakim Khater was born in Nablus in 1993 and lives in the village of Bazaria.
His first novel "The Girl" was issued by the Fada'at House for publication and distribution (Amman-Jordan) in 2017. His novel "Cliche and Dystopia", received an encouraging prize and tribute by the committe of The Young Writer Contest for the year 2017.
