The Educational Research and Development Programme (ERDP) of the A.M. Qattan Foundation has organized workshops to select the teachers who will join the first year of the Drama in Education Summer School Programme to be held in Jerash, Jordan between the 3rd and 13th of July 2019.

On Saturday, 20th April 2019, four selection workshops were organised at the Cultural Centre of AMQF in al-Tireh in Ramallah. 130 applicants were invited including teachers from all over the West Bank and Jerusalem. Selection workshops are the second phase of admission after the end of the application period. The programme received more than 400 applications from all over the West Bank, Gaza and 1948 Occupied Territories, in addition to several applications from different Arab countries such as Egypt, Syria, Jordan, Tunisia, Algeria, Mauritania, Iraq and Sudan.

36 participants were accepted from the West Bank after the selection workshops, and 8 teachers were added to the school’s waiting list. Accepted participants from the Gaza Strip, 1948 Occupied Territories and Arab countries will be selected in the next phase.

The Selection Committee takes into consideration equal opportunity and diversity in selection between the sexes, different educational specialties, employment sectors as well as different regions and governorates.
