Creative Margins

The rural margins comprise the majority of the Palestinian community and is respectively responsible for the construction of the popular cultural ethos of the society. Such popular cultural constructs are swaying between triable politics, religious conservatism, as well as consumerist popular aesthetics. Through its annual open calls, Creative Margins aims at decentralizing cultural production from urban centres being at its core, to the Palestinian marginalised communities. The programme strives for cultural and intellectual investment in the margins in order propagate the seeds of cultural change. This programme targets schools and teachers in collaboration with the RIWAQ (space provision).
