The A. M. Qattan Foundation is seeking to recruit a highly motivated individual for the position of Resource Development Manager to work in its offices in Ramallah. Following is the description of this senior position

Job Objectives: A senior level position with the main objective of developing, implementing, and evaluating an effective resource development strategy, in close coordination with the Director General, Program Directors and Director of Finance, in line with the Foundation’s strategic plan & policies.
Main Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Prepare and implement the Foundation’s annual resource development work plan targeting local (including the private sector), regional and international sources
- Review and assess achievements and setbacks in implementing the plan periodically; identify strengths and weaknesses; devise strategies to overcome the weaknesses and the future development of the plan
- Develop funding proposals in close coordination with Program Directors, assigned program staff, and Director of Finance
- Strengthen current funding partnerships through timely reporting, free flow of information, regular meetings, organizing field visits, attending events and other modalities to build on existing relationships and maximize engagement with partners
- In-line with the Foundation’s resource development policy, identify and approach new potential funding partners to diversify & broaden our funding pool
- Contribute to the identification of new implementing partners to expand program activities and improve effectiveness
- Plan and manage implementation of fundraising initiatives and events, in close coordination with Program Directors and relevant staff members
- Develop a data base of current and potential funding partners, and an annual calendar of key prospects, calls for proposals and applications information. Review and develop the data base on annual basis
- Build knowledge and in-depth understanding of the Foundation’s vision, mission and objectives, as well as programmatic content and approaches through regular engagement in programs activities
- Prepare donor reports; ensuring fulfillment of donor’s requirements & timely submission
- Prepare regular reports on resource development activities including those for the Foundation’s semi-annual and annual reports; highlight successes and challenges and offer analysis on how to build on successes and overcome the challenges
- Present the work of the Foundation to current and potential funding partners
- Maintain organized hard and soft copies of all fundraising activities
Skills/Qualifications:
- A bachelor degree in fundraising, public relations, business administration or relevant field
- Minimum 7 years of work experience in fundraising, public relations and/or other relevant field
- Proven track record of successful fundraising, with ability to proactively identify fundraising opportunities
- Knowledge of development assistance and donor community in the Palestinian context
- Excellent communications, public relations, presentation and public speaking skills in both Arabic and English
- Strong organizational skills & ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent report & logframe writing skills in fluent Arabic and English
- Excellent computer skills
- Ability to travel locally & abroad as neededAbility to work under pressure to a target and within a time frame
