Leenah Al-Qattan holds a B.A. in Russian literature and language from London University and an M.A. in Russian studies from Harvard University. She worked for the Institute for Palestine Studies in Washington, D.C. before moving to Kiev, Ukraine, where she briefly joined the ABC News research department. Upon returning to the United States, she became a middle- and high-school counsellor in the D.C. public school system until 2006, when she moved her family to the UK and continued counselling in international schools until early 2019.
