For the first time ever, the Science Film Festival (SFF) launched by the Goethe Institute in 2005 in south-east Asia was held in three Arab countries: Palestine, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates. The Festival aims at promoting science literacy.
The Young Artist of the Year Award (YAYA) is a biennial programme organised by the A. M. Qattan Foundation that encourages, supports and promotes young Palestinian artists. Initiated in 2000 under the auspices of the Foundation’s Culture and Arts Programme (CAP), the award is named the Hassan Hourani Award in honour of one of the winners of the first YAYA, a gifted young artist who died in a tragic drowning accident in 2003.

Qattan Foundation, the Consulate General of France in Jerusalem, the Institut Français and the Goethe-Institute are honoured to invite you to the Opening of the “Science Days Palestine 2013” hosting the international “Science Film Festival 2013” on the 10th of November 2013 at 6:00 p.m. in Al-Kasaba Theatre and Cinematheque in Ramallah.
A press conference will be held at the premises of the A. M. Qattan Foundation in Al Masyoun-Ramallah at 1 p.m.
